About the President

darin-headshot.jpgDarin W. Thibideau is the President of the Institute for American Study. For the past sixteen years Mr. Thibideau has applied his professional experience and knowledge of the American education system to help international students achieve their goal of studying in the United States. Mr. Thibideau personally oversees the institute’s client services in order to ensure experienced representation and to maintain its high standards.

Mr. Thibideau has successfully assisted international students in gaining admission to private as well as public schools, colleges and universities throughout the state of California. Included among these institutions are Dominican University of California, University of Southern California (USC), University of San Francisco, Golden Gate University, University of the Pacific, as well as various campuses within the University of California (UC) and the California State University (CSU) systems. Mr. Thibideau continues to collaborate with a growing number of educational institutions in order to better meet his clients’ ever changing needs.

Mr. Thibideau received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Davis and his Master’s of Business Administration degree from City University of Seattle, USA. Darin is a native Californian, having lived in both the Northern and Southern regions of the state. He has traveled extensively throughout Asia meeting with clients, educators and educational institutions.

Darin is married to Trinh Bui-Thibideau and they reside in Northern California with their two children, Holden and Emma.
